I experienced a sudden power failure in my house early this morning. I reset the switch in the "junction" box but the power was not restored. Frantic (because of raw food in the fridge)& my husband is away on a business trip, I called one electical company and the guy who answered quoted $180, including manpower and transport after I briefly explained to him the problem. Thankfully, my daughter googled and gave me the number of another company, power electrical . I called and a gentleman, James, answered. After explaining to him the situation, he asked if I was living in a HDB flat. When I replied yes, he asked me to check the meter box outside my house. When I told him the box was locked, he asked that I take a photo and send it to him, afterwhich he advised that I try opening the box from the top. I did that, saw that the power had indeed tripped and managed to push the switch back up. The power was then restored to my house, without me incurring a single cent. I must really, really thank James for his kind help. I am very impressed with his professionalism and that he offered help so readily even though he may not get anything in return. Also, James's quote if he were come to my house, is so much more reasonable than the $180 quoted by the other company. In future if I need electrical or wiring works, I will definitely look for James. I am confident that he will be do a good job at a reasonable price ! Thanks once again !!

My circuit break tripped today. Called cwc.com.sg & a couple more services found on Google. All claimed 24/7 support but NONE answered my call! Kept on trying and eventually I dialed 9662 5079. Someone picked up and very promptly advised me what I can do to. And it WORKED! Thanks James! Appreciated!

The switch to the heater was faulty and while trying to fix it, the fuse blew and the circuit breaker was tripped, causing a blackout. We frantically tried to callthe electricians but one company quoted us $180 for fixing the lights.Luckily, we managed to get james and not only did he gave the advice to regain back the power, but he was pactiently giving us directions despite the inconvenience caused.

We sought his advice on the lights and also followed his direction to turn on the main switch in the riser.Took picture of the circuit breaker and he advised accordingly to turn on all the switches.

All these were done without a cost and we also asked his advice on the loose wires of the heater as was planning to fix it still.It was a success and managed to get the heater switch going..

The man was James and a round of applause for going beyond the call of duty! Will definitely go back to him for any future electrical ssues.

Thanks 24 Hr Electrical for the fast and efficient service.

I had a faulty light which did not light up even after changing the light bulbs and starters. Called 24 Hr Electrical and got a quote and appointment for the next day. The electrician was professional and resolved the problem quickly. I'm happy to say my light has been revived!

When your electricity goes down, you really are at the mercy of random electricians, and it is a significant bill you expect (especially as these things always happen on Sundays or holidays).
But James... He simply asked me a couple questions on the phone and told me what I should do. In just seconds, electricity was back! Not only this but he was available in case I had problems following his simple instructions.
That is a level of honesty and kindness I was not expecting. It simply was awesome! Obviously you did not get my business this time but if I ever have a problem, I will call nobody else than you.
Thank you again. My fridge is humming, my food won't go to waste and Internet is back!!!

Great service on a Sunday, water heater socket tripped the house circuit breaker due to age I supposed. Called AVV after some googling and a few detailed reviews online, charges were reasonable for a Sunday job too.
Attended by a nice polite chap Viswan, came on the dot and within 1 hour of calling him up .Also sent him a few whatsapp photos of the situation. Problem resolved in 15 min after he arrived and repaired the socket/plug/wiring and explanantion given. It may have looked simple to just DIY and changed the sockets/plugs myself but there were huge sparks coming out of the socket on contact, dont risk it man, money worth paying in this case. NO hassle,safe and peace of mind, on a Sunday! Thanks Viswan.

I was looking for good electrician to rewire my ceiling fans. I have called many companies and they told me it is very troublesome I will have to cut a hole in my false ceiling. Look for the wire then run it individually....many problems!!!
In the end I called up Viswan spoke to him and explain to him the situation and book an appointment with him, the team came and make the assessment before working on it.
They gave me some option and I give them some suggestion and in the end all it took was just taking out a small portion of the false ceiling and then just run the wire externally with trunking and add in another switch...that's it.
All done in less than an hour. Clean up the place collect $180 and left.
The workman ship is good better than the guys who put up my ceiling fan, who gave me 101 difficulties in rewiring and putting up new switch....hazzzz
I would like to Thank You Viswan and Team you have done a fantastic job.
I will not hesitate to call you again for future electrical jobs

Ceiling fan totally stalled and appointed agent charges sky high prices. Thus i went googling like all folks does and got to know James. Thought he might be like an uncle but lol, a young chap just like me. Anyways, initially thought to be a minir regulater fault but nope, he took dowm the fan and found out all wires were entagled! Heartbroken, james said he will tried to reconnect the wires. Which he did for around 20mins. Tried powering again and seems like thr motor is affected. Tried to paid him for his efforts and time but he firmly rejected my payment. Where else are consumers able to find sincere services in this realistic market? Search no more. Call james!! He deserve much more than this. Will definitely be recommending him out there.

After hearing my problem, he advised me to on hdb power supply outside my house. And electrical power is back.

I don't usually leave compliments because few are worthy of my time. However I sincerely thank James for fixing my 12yo ceiling fan quickly n being professional. After weeks of annoying power tripping episode at really inconvenient hours and the misdirections of another electrician who first suggested it was water leaking into one light and that we should not use power surge adapters etc, it was a big relief when James could pin point the problem down to a improperly installed elecb (by the other electrician) and replaced it. The problems magically went away. Thank you very much James for your professionalism and down to earth explanations my parents can appreciate. Highly recommended for anyone with electrical problems.

I have recently moved into a new house and I experienced power trips around 6-10 times a day over a period of 1 week.This is frustrating and very scary as I do not know what actually caused the trip and the frequencies rendered my new house not able to live in as my house will be plunge into total darkness with each trip. We even stayed in hotel.!

Before James, I contacted another electrician urgently and he came down. This person do some minor checks on my circuit board and tell us we need to pay him $850 to change the entire board. We were very taken aback and somehow my gut tell me that this guy is not honest.

James came down the next day, spent some good hours trying to find out the root cause & eventually it turned out that some wires behind my switch plate were burnt！Contrary to the first electrician, James told me no need to change my entire switch board. I paid $220 for and my problem is resolved. It's been 1 month since I moved in, all is Good!

Yesterday kena powertrip which I checked all button being push upz but still no power, google and manage to speak with owner, and he ask me take photos let him check, and in the end he ask me check from outside any button drop down, which I follow his guidance, in the end really show there's a button drop down, power come back after I push up. James is now my MUST Go-To Guy.
I was unsure of finding service off the internet but James is excellent. Quick to respond, polite and most importantly, thorough and professional.
On the dot of 3pm, the doorbell rang and the wiring was done in under 30mins, even with extra wiring as the existing ones were too short. And there was no mess left behind. James later contacted me to say that the worker was coming back. WHY? The worker must install better wires, he said.
The use of technology - photos to check on work and e-payments - gets my vote for James too!

Compare James to This Awful Guy:
I had brought a new oven and was given the contact of the electrician used by the company for installing its ovens. After agreeing to a time, he did not turn up and when called, said he was at another job! He even argued over the timings. Had such pleasure telling to get lost and we did not need his services after finding James. YAAAY !

We're contemplating to buy a new fridge or get it service as we thought servicing is going to be costly and what if after servicing, it still can't be fix? However after I chance upon James website and reading his sharing on the useful tips on problems when your fridge is not cooling, we decided to give it a go and get him to service and our decision proof it to be right! Our fridge is working fine now (yeah) and we are happy with the service provided by Prabhu. He's very experience and patient and even shared with us how we should store our food.

Power in my house kept tripping yesterday and I desperately searched online for an electrician who would respond quickly. Found this website and called James for help. He asked for a photo of circuit breaker and then gave advice over the phone on how to stop the power tripping. It was effective and the tripping stopped. He further advised on how to isolate the source of the problem. Eventually, problem was solved. Just want to say a big thank you to James for being so helpful in times of need and unreservedly sharing his knowledge in his field of expertise. He is definitely the guy to go to when you encounter problems with electrical power!

My breaker got tripped in the early hours in the morning. Tried resetting it back however to no avail. Eventually, the issue was due to the aircon plug turned on. We manage to reset it back after turning the aircon plug off. My wife googled and ask me to call James. After telling him our situation, he ask me to take a photo of the breaker to which we did.
He subsequently advise us to switch back the aircon plug later in the afternoon because apparently it was raining heavily the day before and water may have sipped through the airon condenser unit placed outside.
So we heeded his advice and to our amaze, the breaker was back to its original state with the aircon plug turned on. We are really thankful for his advice and will consider to call him again if we face another electrical problem. Thank you James.

Prompt respond and i would say he is an expert in this trade and good in troubleshoot. My fridge engine suddenly stopped and he asked for some photo of the interior and exterior of my fridge and from there he actually advised me to re switch on the socket and monitor for 1-2hrs. Was glad that it starts to operate again. I really appreciate his help especially at this circuit breaker period when most of us rely so much on our fridge to stock up food. Would highly recommend him and also to say big thanks to him.

I called James as my electrical circuit box tripped and I couldn't seem to fix the problem. And all he did was ask me to take a photo of the circuit box and immediately he could figure out that i need to reset the switch on the electrical riser. He is very experienced and honest. I had a power trip when I switched on my oven to bake ribs. Tried a few numbers to request for service, only James responded. I contacted James and within an hour he was able to diagnose the potential problem, provide a quote and set up an appointment to fix my ceiling fan. During the servicing, he was friendly, professional and most importantly, an excellent electrician. He pinpointed the issue immediately and fixed it within half an hour. While other electricians said that it couldn't be fixed/the unit should be replaced/repair would cost a bomb, James not only proved them wrong but did so at the lowest price I could find. Hi James, Thank you very much for your recommendation to convert my whole house lughting to LED. Your service is not onlt prompt, but also very diligent. Prices charged is also very very reasonable.

The most satisfied matter is my electricity consumption drop from July's 1247kWh to Aug's 621kWh. Its really a big saving in the long run.

My oven tripped and not the 1st time, bought this oven 2 years ago and already tripped twice and this is the 3rd times, up set with the company that I bought the oven from so I decided to contact James.

A reliable and friendly guy who knows his job well, explained and given a choice to either replace the spare parts or do simple repair job, decided to change the parts after James explained the pros and cons.

James spent more than an hour to dismantle and fixed the parts, he definitely has the patience, knowledge and enjoyed his job, well done and thumps up for him. Highly recommended.

It has been half a year since my last contact with James for electrical works, but I wish to commend him for his honest work ethics. He was probably one of the 8 electrical companies I contact on a busy Friday to fix this urgent lighting issue for a property under my charge.
I had spent the past 2 days trying to fix the problem, and had ran out of options and steam, so had to urgently look for an electrician who could come down to sort out the last bit of wiring issues.
The prices quoted by a couple of those who were willing to only come by the next day for an on site consultation were crazy high.
When I got hold of James, he was able to make it down that stressful evening to bring lights back to the house, and his charges were pretty reasonable by comparison. To my surprise he did not wish to earn my easy money, but was more keen instead to guide me patiently on how to rectify my mistake through Whatsapp.
After taking up much of his time, my issue was settled, with much thanks to his guidance!
After that chance meeting with James, I have great confidence that should I have other projects in the future that need a patient and knowledgeable electrician, I can rely on James and his team to help. I will also strongly recommend anyone who reads my review to consider engaging James in all their future electrical works.
Thanks very much James, you certainly broke the mould of the chop-shop electricians that I had personally encountered. May our paths cross again!

He replaced w 2 2nd ovens as he felt it wasn't worthwhile to replace motherboard. After all the hassle, he said he will only charge me the 2nd hand oven cost.

I messaged him at 1pm and he made an exception and squeezed me in at 3pm because i needed my ceiling fan fixed ASAP as part of the stressful handover process. He’s just the bomb. He’s the go to person for anything electrical!!!

The timing was great. When Serene informed that the electrician might be coming late at 2215hrs in the afternoon, when I made the appointment. He did just come at that time.

Best of all he changed all my faulty power sockets and switches and went an extra mile to explain to me about the power trips that happened in my flat. He also did some test and made me feel that I am finally talking to someone who cares about the customer. I will definitely recommend him to my friends.

The pricing is also reasonable and he did not charge anything extra other than what is quoted to me before he come.

My Brandt oven touchscreen was not working for a year and eventually the preset modes failed too. I contacted Brandt before but they were not responsive which left me in two minds whether to pursue or replace a new oven until I stumbled upon PowerElectrical on the internet and I am so glad I did! James's responses are efficient and polite, and he was willing to check onsite first without charging if nothing can be fixed. His troubleshooting showcased high experience and knowledge. He is also meticulous and reliable as he patiently secured the panel with additional metal plates. He also explained clearly where the fault is, how electric appliances works from inside out as I did not know that oven left untouched for too long could have the heating elements failing. Fortunately, everything got fixed and came to live again. Highly recommended for James's service!

2nd time engaging James and team for repair works. This time around I had a faulty power switch which meant that the showers were unusable. James was quick to respond to my WhatsApp messages despite it being a Sunday morning, and was also quick to arrange to come down within an hour of my first message! All resolved now in super quick fashion and professionalism. Will highly recommend!

Excellent communication over WhatsApp, very prompt, and he was able to identify and fix the issue with my oven within an hour. He had all the necessary tools and spare parts with him which I was most impressed with. He will be the first person I call if I ever need an appliance fixed!

Was impressed by how quickly the problem was diagnosed and then solved. I had the Whirlpool technician over to fix the stove previously. He wasn’t able to undo one of the screws so he left and never came back. Then I got a call to say the problem could not be fixed and I’d need a new stove.

James from Power Electrical fixed it within 1 hour at a fraction of the cost of a new stove. He had spare parts for the stove and oven. Everything was fixed before it was time for dinner, couldn’t recommend him more highly.

Got Jame’s contact via our estate’s chat group. True to the recommendations, James is very efficient and pleasant to work with. He gave a very clear explanation of what the likely issue was with my oven after listening to my usage history with it, then proceeded to test. Thereafter, he gave the recommended options and price, leaving it up to me to decide which I preferred. All in all, everything was done within 30-40mins.

James is fast and professional. I texted him on Sat and the issue was fixed on Monday. He was able to find the root cause very quickly and explain it in layman terms. I also like that he does not make me spend unnecessary money to replace parts that I won't be using but is causing the power trip, he helped to rewire and bypass the part that was causing the trip. Very helpful and will recommend his services.
